Tailz. All your pets needs in one furtastic place.
At Tailz we strive to give you the look that you want providing that it is achievable given the condition the animal was brought in. It is not always fair to demat a dog simply for aesthetics as it may simply be more humane to start from scratch.
Some of our customers don't know where to start or how to describe what they like or would like to achieve. We have created a set of resources on styles to help create our customers better communicate with our groomers.
Grooming is not an easy profession but having true professionals kindly handle and sculpt your dog makes all the difference.
Please be our guest and have a look over this page. Gather up some ideas and lets make magic happen!
WHAT HAPPENS DURING YOUR DOG'S GROOM
Grooming a dog takes skill - a lot of skill in fact. You can often see the difference between different grooming salons and the quality of finishes. Less skilled pet stylists can leave lines, choppiness on your dog's coat, and may not handle your dog properly. If you've tried to groom your own dog at home you will suddenly realize that this is something better left up to the pros. That why we are here.
During grooming your dogs are:
We love dealing with your animals and making them look awesome. Make no mistake grooming a dog takes time and skill - a process that should not be rushed.
GROOMING TIMEFRAME & CHARGES
Sometimes your dog may need extra time at the groomers. This may be due to a few factors including:
These are all things that take additional time, patience, and skill. Our groomers will charge for their time above and beyond the normal time frame to complete a job if necessary. They are very reasonable and will fairly charge for their additional time and services as such.
Our pet stylists deal with all of that and still love their job. They treat your animals with love and respect - and produce amazing works of art. It is no wonder that many of our customers routinely rebook, are on the Head-to-Tailz Program and generously give gratuities for a job well done. Our pet stylists thank you for recognizing their hard work and the masterpieces they create.
There are a few things that you can do to help your puppy have the best grooming experience as possible. Contrary to what some people think it is actually best to get them desensitized to being handled, as well as the tools and noises that they will encounter during a grooming session. This is why we are offering a Puppy Package.
Our Tailz Puppy Package is designed to help your dog have a great experience at Tailz while being groomed. The earlier that they can be introduced to grooming the better. It consists of three separate visits with the same pet stylist. We ask that you bring high value soft treats with you for each visit.
Packages must be pre-paid in advance. From the date the package is purchased it is to be fully completed within 6 weeks. It is best to book all three appointments at the same time.
If you have a shedding breed the packages will include a pet wash on both Visit #2 and Visit #3.
